Pilot's Perch

'Pilot's Perch'™ sits atop the mountain in a beautiful setting away from the hustle and bustle, but within a short distance to area attractions. The cabin is named after Pilot Mountain, which both decks face, and the fact that the cabin appears to literally "perch" on the side of the mountain. Located just off Highway 52, about 3.5 miles from Mile Marker 199 off the Blue Ridge Parkway; this log cabin home is furnished with everything you need for a perfect romantic get-away, family vacation, or to get away from it all for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Log Cabin – Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Pilot Mountain, the Piedmont and valley below in this charming and tastefully decorated cabin with vaulted ceilings and wall of windows and glass doors.

Hot Tub – Enjoy the stunning views as the 6-person hot tub washes away life's stresses.

180 Degree Panoramic Views – Enjoy the awe-mazing mountain views from two large decks with stainless steel cable deck rails that give an almost totally unobstructed view of Pilot Mountain, the Piedmont and valley below.

2 Spacious Decks – Unwind in the old-timey cedar rocking chairs, snuggle by the fire pit on the sectional sofa or relax in the hot tub, rain or shine, as the spacious lower deck is covered. Savor wine from a local winery and nibble on cheese and crackers while savoring the view from the exterior dining table or take in the breathtaking panoramic views while watching the birds glide below you from the Adirondack chairs on the upper deck.

Fire Pit – Cuddle on the sectional sofa in front of the gas fire pit while sipping a glass of wine and enjoying the city night lights.

Garage – Bikers and cyclists will appreciate the security of the garage and paved driveways after a long ride enjoying the mountain scenery.

Hiking, Biking, Cycling, Fishing, Wineries, Festivals and Other Fun Activities – Enjoy a picnic beside a covered bridge, climb waterfalls, and spend the afternoon fishing in one of the two ponds in our development. Enjoy a variety of things nearby: winery tours and tastings, historical icons such as Mabry Mill, horseback riding, hiking and biking trails, Mayberry Days, Hillsville Flea Market, FloydFest, Autumn Leaves Festival, or just relax and do nothing at the cabin.
